We All Need Water to Survive! And here’s why:
Did you know that your body weight is approximately 60 percent water? Your body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s important to re-hydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. The amount of water you need depends on a variety of factors, including the climate you live in, how physically active you are, and whether you’re experiencing an illness or have any other health problems.
Why is it so important to stay hydrated?
Your body depends on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work correctly. For example, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate joints. Water is needed for good health.
How do I know if I’m dehydrated?
Symptoms of dehydration include the following:
- Little or no urine, or urine that is darker than usual
- Dry mouth
- Sleepiness or fatigue
- Extreme thirst
- Dizziness or lightheaded feeling
- No tears when crying
Don’t wait until you notice symptoms of dehydration to take action. Actively prevent dehydration by drinking plenty of water.
What Kind of Water and How much should you Drink?
Water makes up more than half of your body weight and according to new research studies, you should drink water that will increase the body’s alkaline level and decrease the acidic levels. Alkaline Water is the Best water to drink because it properly hydrates your cells. Not all Alkaline water is the same, some are bottled in plastic which when it is exposed to the heat and sunlight it will absorb the toxins from the plastic and the sunlight depletes the Alkalinity of the water. Properly Alkaline Water is best when it is Freshly made without Chemicals.
The consumption of water should be utilized as follows: Take your total body and drink that many ounces of water or take your body weight divide it in half and consume that many ounces of water a day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day. If you’re living in a hot climate and exercising a lot, you’d be on the higher end of that range; if you’re in a cooler climate and mostly sedentary, you’d need less.

Turmeric is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant. It is commonly used in Asian food. You probably know turmeric as the main spice in curry. It has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butters, and cheeses. But the root of turmeric is also used widely to make medicine. It contains a yellow-colored chemical called curcumin, which is often used to color foods and cosmetics.
Turmeric is used for arthritis, heartburn (dyspepsia), joint pain, stomach pain, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, bypass surgery, hemorrhage, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, loss of appetite, jaundice, liver problems, Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gallbladder disorders, high cholesterol, a skin condition called lichen planus, skin inflammation from radiation treatment, and fatigue.
It is also used for headaches, bronchitis, colds, lung infections, fibromyalgia, leprosy, fever, menstrual problems, itchy skin, recovery after surgery, and cancers. Other uses include depression, Alzheimer’s disease, swelling in the middle layer of the eye (anterior uveitis), diabetes, water retention, worms, an autoimmune disease called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), tuberculosis, urinary bladder inflammation, and kidney problems.
Some people apply turmeric to the skin for pain, ringworm, sprains and swellings, bruising, leech bites, eye infections, acne, inflammatory skin conditions and skin sores, soreness inside of the mouth, infected wounds, and gum disease.
Turmeric is also used as an enema for people with inflammatory bowel disease.
In food and manufacturing, the essential oil of turmeric is used in perfumes, and its resin is used as a flavor and color component in foods.
Don’t confuse turmeric with Javanese turmeric root (Curcuma zedoaria).
How does it work?
Turmeric contains the chemical curcumin. Curcumin and other chemicals in turmeric might decrease swelling (inflammation). Because of this, turmeric might be beneficial for treating conditions that involve inflammation. Not only does Curcumin, which is found in Turmeric, help inflamitory conditions but it is also used to treat people whom are diabetic.
Facials using Turmeric!
Here’s a recipe for a homemade turmeric facial mask:
There are many variations for the recipe, but below you will find the basic recipe. Some add chickpea flower to thicken the paste or a little bit of lemon juice which helps to lighten the skin.
1 teaspoon of Turmeric (Organic if Possible)
1 teaspoon of Raw Organic Honey
1 teaspoon of Milk (Coconut Milk or natural yogurt)
Optional ingredients to add – a few drops of tea tree essential oil if you suffer from acne.
Put Turmeric into a little bowl. Add honey. Then add milk or yogurt. You can adjust the amount of milk to make the paste more or less thick, but make sure it’s a firm paste that will stick to your face.
Wash your face with running water and remove all makeup. If your hair is long, tie it up at the back. Wear a T-shirt you are not too attached to, in case it gets stained.
Application of Mask
Apply the mask evenly all over your face. A spot you don’t want to miss is under the eyes, as turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties help reduce the dark circles and puffiness.
Let the mask dry on your face. This means leaving it on for about 20 minutes and then washing it off with cool water. Dry your face gently with a cloth.

Cinnamon and Honey Homeopathic Remedies:
Great information!! Cinnamon and Honey… Drug companies won’t like this one getting around.
Facts on Honey and Cinnamon:
It is found that a mix of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also note honey as very effective medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without side effects which is also a plus. Today’s science says that even though honey is sweet when it is taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm even diabetic patients. Researched by western scientists:
**HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, put it on toast instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol and could potentially save one from a heart attack. Also, even if you have already had an attack studies show you could be kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of cinnamon honey strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as one ages the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and the veins.
**ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients can benefit by taking one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken daily even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week (out of the 200 people so treated) practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain — and within a month, most all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis now started walking without pain.
**BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder….who knew?
CHOLESTEROL: Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water given to a cholesterol patient was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, when taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol could be cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.
*COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and, clear the sinuses, and it’s delicious too!
*UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken mixed with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also is said to clear stomach ulcers from its root.
*GAS: According to the studies done in India and Japan, it is revealed that when Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.
IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks. *RASPY OR SORE THROAT: When throat has a tickle or is raspy, take one tablespoon of honey and sip until gone. Repeat every three hours until throat is without symptoms.
**PIMPLES: Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it off the next morning with warm water. When done daily for two weeks, it removes all pimples from the root.
**SKIN INFECTIONS: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin Infections.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey Homeopathic Remedies:
Another Great herbal remedy used for Arthritis is 1 Tablespoon Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 Tablespoon of Honey in a 6 oz glass of water! Take it morning and night until you feel some relief and then just take it once a day for maintenance! The Apple Cider Vinegar needs to be the one that looks dirty because it carries the pulp of the apple making it more efficient!
Also, Dr. Jarvis, author of “Folk Medicine”, was a Vermont medical doctor. In his book, he prescribes a tablespoon of both honey and apple cider vinegar dissolved in a glass of water. This drink should be taken several times per day and can help with a number of illnesses including arthritis, colds, high blood pressure, obesity, infections, rheumatism, etc.
Apple Cider Vinegar and it’s Wonderful Effects!
Top 20 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar:
1. Use ACV in place of balsamic vinegar in salad dressing.
2. Add to your morning smoothie, but be careful—it has a pretty strong taste, so add a little to begin.
3. Use it as a facial toner.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar All-Purpose Cleaner: 1 part water, 1 part ACV, 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix in a spray bottle.
5. Helps with upset stomach—holds antibiotic properties and pectin which soothe the stomach. If you have Food Poisoning then mix 2 tablespoons of ACV with 8 ounces of water and sip until the symptoms are gone! (This worked like a Charm for me!)
6. Stop cats from biting cords around the house—rub a bit on a cotton ball and onto the cord every 4-5 days.
7. Use ACV in your bath. Add ½- 1 cup to your bath water along with Epsom salts and essential oil for a relaxing and detoxifying bath.
8. Use apple cider vinegar to get rid of hiccups—the sour taste of a straight teaspoon can stop hiccups.
9. Clear a stuffy nose by mixing a teaspoon in a glass of water and drinking.
10. Make a fruit fly trap—Put a thin layer of ACV in a cup with a drop of dish soap. Set it out on the counter and the fruit flies will (hopefully) fly in and get stuck.
