Water Treatment Plant #2Water Treatment Plant #2 is one of four Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department drinking water treatment plants operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It utilizes lime softening and ozone treatment, followed by disinfection, to provide clean drinking water for the surrounding suburban Lake Worth area. The plant has the capacity to produce approximately 14.5 million gallons per day, and its raw water source is the underground surficial aquifer.

Water Treatment Plant #3Water Treatment Plant #3 is one of four Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department drinking water treatment plants operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It utilizes state-of-the-art membrane softening filters, which are fine plastic sheets through which pressurized water is pumped. After filtration, the water is de-gasified and disinfected. The membrane-softened water is then blended with filtered raw water before it is distributed to the surrounding suburban Delray and Boynton areas. The plant has the capacity to produce approximately 30 million gallons per day of drinking water, and its raw water source is the underground surficial aquifer.

Water Treatment Plant #8Water Treatment Plant #8 is one of four Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department drinking water treatment plants operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It utilizes lime softening and ozone treatment, followed by disinfection, to provide clean drinking water for the surrounding suburban West Palm Beach area. The plant has the capacity to produce approximately 20 million gallons per day, and its raw water source is the underground surficial aquifer.
